GOOD FOOD – Seed Soda Bread

Serving Size: 1

Featured Ingredient: GOOD SEED

Ingredients:
  • 125 g Plain Flour
  • 125 g wholewheat flour
  • 225 milliliter Live yoghurt
  • 2 tsp. soft brown sugar
  • 1 tsp. Bicarbonate of Soda
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 25 g GOOD SEED
  • 25 g Sesame Seeds
  • 25 g Sunflower seeds
  • 25 g Porridge Oats
Directions:

Preheat oven to 230C/Gas Mark 8. Sift the plain flour, bicarbonate of soda and salt into a large mixing bowl. Add the wholemeal flour and brown sugar to this them mix it all together. Add the yoghurt to the dry ingredients and combine with a spoon. After a few mixes dive in with your hands to bring it all together. It looks like it wont come together but soon will to form a pliable dough. Keep the plain flour handy to dust your hands with and to add more if the mixture looks too damp. When it comes together to form a ball of dough then knead briefly in the bowl, a minute or less, then add the oats and seeds. Use the GOOD OIL to grease a baking tray and put the ball of dough on top. cut a large cross in the top of the ball to allow it to spread then cook for 12 mins. After 12 mins reduce the heat to 200C/Gas 7 then cook for another 20 mins. when you take it out the oven the loaf should sound hollow when you tap it. Let cool for a little bit then enjoy.
